It's a Sunday = "booked in" day. Arghh..Time passed so fast during weekend. This week we had our Guards Parade..That four days of agonizing pain and mentally torturing field camp had turn us into the elites. Or at least that's what they say so..Whatever...it's over..

NONE of my closest turn up for my parade..Knowing that, Hong's sis and daddy offered to put on the guards tab and collar pin onto me. I'm touched by their move.

Life w/o you this few months seems a bit meaningless. Same old routine coming back and forth from work. Occasionally meeting up some old friends..chilling out. So near yet so far, 3 more days and you will be back in Singapore. And 2 more weeks i 'll be departing to Tekong...what the hell..

Okie..my dad is back..Gotta be his chauffeur and send him to a wedding dinner..

The dream of owning a car finally surfaced. Collected our ride 2 weeks back. Went through hell of negotiation(bargaining for bodykit and accessories) before signing on the dotted line, patience(loan approval), anxiety(COE Bidding), frustration(Delivery of Vehicle) and indefinite satisfaction.

Buying a car which cost almost 60K was never easy, neither did i imagine will be this troublesome. Perhaps it will be a lot more hassle-free if i were to opt for "Authorize Dealer" instead of "Parallel Import". But AD only offer its 2008 Jazz in probably 2nd or 3 quarter, therefore we decided to stick with PI.

Intention of us going for PI is simple. Parts are assemble in Japan and imported to us directly. Unlike AD, car is manufactured in Thailand, therefore workmanship has to be compromised. Price from PI is deemed more attractive and tons of accessories like leather seats, bodykit, GPS, sports rims, ICE(In Car Entertainment) can be included depending on your purchasing power. Warranty on motor parts is also covered to a period of 5 years or 100,000km whichever is lower. After-sales service depends a lot on the assigned workshop by the PI.

Buying a car is like a investment paring with the rise of petrol and maintainance cost. Beside the will of investing the money into this involuntary gadget, it also bond and foster good relationship to the ones around. Having one that doesn't need it is much better than me needing it but doesn't have one. Ermm..well, at least to me!

Came across this blog (http://sgparkingidiots.blogspot.com/) which actually showcase and shame local drivers who don't bother to park their car properly. Right or wrong? You decide!

Do i have to?

Hasn't been blogging for the past few months due to my work commitment. Sadly, there will not be much time left for me though (enlisting into army on 13th March).

The more i think, the more i felt remorseful. For all the mistakes i had made in my young days, i actually have to compromise on so many important phrase of my life thereafter.

Though I'm only 23, must admit that I'm not young,and people of my age are beginning to move on to bigger responsibilities. Yet i have to spend another 2 years making up for the mistakes. Ironically, i wouldn't have learn so much and met so many wonderful people if not for that very fatal downfall.

Often in dreams more than in reality, i have displayed great dedication and enthusiasm in the professional working bodies. The hunger for self-growth and continuous learning has yearn yet another chapter in my life. Ever-searching is what i dream of, recognition on the other side of the coin, is what i achieved for.

Hmm..not implying that serving the nation is a waste of time. But to look at it at a larger picture, i feel that it dis-integrates me from the society. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to it. :)

A night of short-getaway in BATAM. Booked the "Batam View Beach Resort" along the coast of country-side. No doubt, excellent customer service accompanied by great sea view room. Guaranteed more fun if not for the monsoon season.

We decided to go shopping in Nagoya Town after our swim in the hotel before dinner. So we head down to the reception counter and request for a Taxi service, we even requested a mandarin speaking, so to make communication more easier. Advice to wait 5 mins at the lobby.

This same receptionist came back to us and asked if we know where we want to go and if we were ready to go.."Puzzled".."Yeah, of coz we're ready, just waiting for the cab driver." "Im your driver for the night",replied the receptionist. what the hell?

Happenings, whenever with Kenneth

Met up with Kenneth after work. Wasted most of our time waiting for the cops to come rectifying our conflict with a taxi uncle. This taxi driver is by far; the most outrageous i've yet to seen..a wolf in a sheep's clothing.

We took a cab from Pasir Ris to Takashimaya. Within five minutes into the mall, Kenneth realized his mobile is still lying in the cab. Called back using mine and the uncle agreed to make a U-Turn back to the taxi-stand. However, it made its way past us and cooked up an excuse saying he has a customer on his hand right then. Al rite, we take it easy..give the uncle thirty minutes and request for him back. BTW, that uncle is driving a Toyota wish from (Prime's Taxi).

Indeed, after 30 minutes, that Uncle dial back and said that he will be coming back, BUT on one condition-with a delivery fee of $20/-. What the heck did he want that for? Isn't it a common practice for a taxi driver to at least show a substantial level of customer service? After talking to that uncle for 10 minutes..both sides are unwilling to compromise(we are not willing to pay, that idiot not willing to return the handset)..Of cause..i will not even think of paying..If he make a detour back to us immediately, maybe we will considered tipping him for his prompt understanding he have shown. But this idiotic uncle DEMANDED 20 bucks from us and said as though it's our fault for leaving the mobile behind in his cab, which in turn causing him to lose many customers.

We finally give in, agreeing on the surface..so as to tricked him back to the taxi stand. His cab came back to the same taxi-stand. He was clever on his part;only lowering down his window shield, asking for the money before returning back the mobile..Fearing that we might open the doors to let ourselves in, he locked all doors shut. When he knew that we do not have the intention to give him any money, he wanted to drive off. Nah..we were not stupid as well..There was only one lane. Yah..he can get away, but he will need to knock both of us down.

Yeah..we both stood rooted in front of his cab..unwilling to step off. F*** him with any words we can think of. C'mon..We only want it back. He actually think he can drove off with a mobile which don't exactly belong to him.

By this time, our commotion has raised quite a handful of eyebrows from the passer-by. Taxi behind started to jam, all the way out to the main road..I have never heard 20-30 taxi sounding the horn simultaneously till then..coming at both of us,all at once..Security guards, concierge officers came running down..you should have seen the panicked look on the uncle's face. After all, these officers running down..is what we are looking forward to.

Well..after the police came in..Kenneth finally got back his phone. A sign of relief after all this trouble.. Nope,that uncle was not arrested..But he sure gonna have his license suspended.

Went to SteakHouse in Cannery, surprised to find my ex manager and collegues working there..well taken care for,great customer service and cozy ambience..as expected from them..This restaurant is part of a group of ESMIRADA. Famous for its steak and kebab, a must try for its supreme Mediterranean cuisine.

The malay family next door came to visit us in the morning and we had some festive gifts exchange. They bought us some longtong and traditonal festive food.

In return, we gave their 4 cute children a green packet each..a warm greeting to all malay friends out there..Selamat Hari Raya..cheers

Met up with sweetheart after work..eh" we went to the METRO Sale in Expo but it's nothing worth visiting for. Place was big though ..yes! But 1/4 of their so called "MEGA" sale is selling women's undergarment. No wonder they have about 20 fitting room just for the "ladies".

Later, we met up with eling and make our way to CGH to visit my brother. He's doing well after the operation and still managed to pose some shots; and crack some jokes..hahaa

The card board read "This bed is prepared for the next patient, we thank you for not resting on it." And you are doing the opposite..lolz

Nick Warren's spin @ Zouk was kinda disappointing for us..and worse he only came in at 12.50am and starts pumping his music from 1am. The 3 of us practically just stood there and listened to his music "live". And Michelle was the only one dancing. Yeah! we did make an effort to blend in, but his music is just not our preference.

There, we make our way down to ex-Velvet Dragon,new club - Plush at Central Mall. It is rumored to be run by a entirely new management(Both Momo and VD run by same management). They are holding a official opening that same night. We met up with Cailong,eling,hui,monica and blonde, and surprised to see quite a few familiar faces there.

Seems like we enjoyed abit more @ Plush with their resident Dj.

CONDEMNED - Bedok Family Clinic and Surgery

I was brought up to believe that doctors always possess excellent social skills, values and a great sense of responsibility in serving the community with their specialized medical knowledge. However, it proved me wrong on the date of 05/10/07 when i walked into this clinic at Bedok Interchange.

I was like damn frustrated when i miss the last registration time at polyclinic, and i just missed for about 5mins. The nurse wouldn't let me in because it got to do with something like the system being shut down exactly at 4.15pm(i reached at 4.20pm, and there's nothing they can do. Hmm..alright..i didn't blame them..that's their clinic's guideline anyway. So i just keep on walking, hoping to find a clinic which i feel comfortable settling down.There, i stop at this anonymous clinic at BLK 218- Bedok Family Clinic and Surgery, which began my first aggressive confrontation with a female doctor.

Same procedure, doing registration and all that stuff. While waiting, i thought i heard a series of loud noises coming from the doctor's room(sound like Auntie bargaining for 2 kg of prawns in the market). Thought the irritating noise maybe coming from outside the clinic,i just make myself comfortable while waiting for my turn to come.

My turn came, staff nurse prompt me into room (1). When i knocked and opened the door,I saw this oversize, obese, overweight, ugly cum boring-looking, probably old enough to be my mum, doctor trying very hard to squeeze her butt into that tiny little chair. i sat onto the chair and here it comes, the interesting part:

Doctor: Why do you come here for?

Me: To see a doctor!

Doctor: Yes..what exactly is wrong and why do you come in such a bad timing? (Clinic about to close)

Me: Well..I have a headache when i woke up this morning..sorry i didn't know your clinic is about to close, if you are not professional enough, i can leave!

Doctor: So you just want to come and take a MC lah?

Me: Yes. That's part of my motive.

Doctor: A SLIGHT HEADACHE AND U EXPECT ME TO GIVE YOU A MC!!(loud voice)

ME:Actually i have been receiving treatment from SGH due to my anemic blood level, thus i have been having headache and i don't feel comfortable going to work.

Doctor:Hey young man, don't come and talk bull and sheep story here lah, you expect me to believe you? Whose your doctor in charge in SGH?

Me:Dr Ling K.W.Are you doubting me? I can bring you the medical documents.

Doctor:Young Kid, You are not sincere and yes..I'm doubting your sincerity.

Me: I'm not visiting a mosque or chapel, how sincere u want me to be?(in a sarcastic way)(buay tat han already)

WTF..haha..after these sarcastic exchanges, this crap doc starts to examine me. She promise me with a day MC..before i left the room, i told her straight in the face politely:

Me:Honestly speaking, i don't think you are cut out to be a doctor, because you don't even satisfy the basic criteria in this field of professionalism. Rather, i think baby-sitting suits you more..

I didn't bother to look at her expression because i was already half way out the room when i spoke the last sentence.

Later, when i make a complaint to the staff nurse pertaining to the bad attitude and service the doctor is providing to me. She apologized to me and added," She happened to be our relief doctor"

Yeah..finally bought my new phone - LG Shine..well..hmm..after much hesitation though..why do you need to be so indecisive? Yes it's you! Still the same..Perhaps we should go to Sim Lim and recki for LG Chocalate Pink. I saw it when i went there to buy webcam. This weekend?

Designs are sleek and fashionable, certainly attractive(the whole features look a bit "girly" though). Camera in the phone offers 2 Megapixel and a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, packed together with a small flash that you can turn on and off.The tiny scroll dial in the centre of the telephone offers a nice new way of operating the menu and the MP3 Player of the phone.

Took me quite a while to adjust since im a "virgin" towards holding a LG phone. Especially for the scroll dial, it is particularly hard to ignore it. The scroll pad makes it interesting gaining access to different portions of functions. Speaker and the internal MP3 sound quality is a "so-so" factor and 512MB is the maximum offset it can reached.

The only hassle for me is to constantly maintain the wide mirror LCD and the ultimate titanium body frame clean as it catches fingerprints easily. Other than that, it perform well above a average joe.

Yesterday night was especially tired..not due to the workload which was delegated to me during work, and not definitely the amount of effort i have put in!!But the no of times i have to stick up my head up and laugh out loud because of the unbearable gayish jokes.

Our night at cineleisure movie-plex, targeted either on "The Invasion" or "I now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry". Hui wanted "The Invasion" together with his girlfriend-Monica. Hahha..But we ended up watching PG-13 movie for crude sexual content cum nudity,cum hilarious and outrageous language together with drug references.
